Here are some alternative blogs which my readers may be interested in. They give out information and provide reviews of events in Wales.
Blog
one - The Visit Wales Blog
This is a blog
that is very direct, simple and to the point. It wasted little time loading
onto my screen and from then on it was easy to identify what the site was about
and who it was aimed at. The site is very pleasing to the eye and it has a very
professional look about it. The same fonts and colours have been used
throughout the blog ensure it is visually appealing.
Blog two - Passionate about South Wales - the best pubs,
restaurants, hotels and places to visit
The information in this blog can easily and quickly
be accessed by the reader. The use of attractive photographs with every blog
post helps attract the reader to the website. The navigational system of the
blog is stress-free and the reader can easily find their way back to the front
page of the blog.
Blog
Three – Babylon Wales – Notes from the margins of Welsh
popular culture.
The blog is organised quite well with chronological
dates easily accessible to the reader. There are pictures to accompany each of
the events posted in his blog in an attempt to draw the reader in. The site
makes good use of video and audio clips. Initially it was less easy to identify
what this blog was about as it is more of a specialist genre.
Blog
Four
– Wales Nature and Outdoors
I think the
blog has a coherent design with a clear welcome message to readers and a well
developed navigational system allowing the reader to access further but related
details. The colour scheme is pleasing, encouraging readers to delve further
into the site. The content is interesting and important links, details and
appealing photographs are positioned above the fold to hook the reader.
Blog
Five
– Wales Music
If music is your passion this site will be of
interest to you. There are clear sign posts directing the reader to interviews,
music, radio and new releases. There are good links to other sites providing
details on festivals, events and choirs in the area. The blog has made good use
of video and audio. The site loaded quickly and it was easy to get back to the
homepage after navigating to other sites.
